Turner Butler successfully sold A Plus Joinery

In the latest transaction it has completed in yet another busy year for business sales, ‘No sale, No fee’ Business Broker, Turner Butler has sold Hertfordshire based A Plus Windows and Doors Limited, a manufacturer of hardwood timber, windows, doors, conservatories and orangeries.

A Plus, a subsidiary of the Stillwater Group of Companies was acquired by North Yorkshire based Adrian Goodall Builders & Contractors – a very busy construction company with an on-going demand within its own business activities to supplement the throughput generated by A Plus’ own significant, high quality customer base.

Acting for the Stillwater Group, Turner Butler undertook a confidential marketing process from which Adrian Goodall Builders & Contractors was chosen, from many, as the preferred bidder.

Tony Bell, Regional Manager of Turner Butler comments: “I am delighted that Turner Butler was chosen to act for Stillwater in the sale of the business. Stillwater took advantage of strong market conditions in the business sales sector and were able to agree and conclude terms much more quickly than can often be the case with joinery shop sales. We wish Adrian Goodall Builders & Contractors the very best with their acquisition which gives them a significant and quality presence in the joinery sector’.

Upsurge in sales of on-line businesses, reports Turner Butler

Reflecting the increasing maturity of the e-commerce sector, ‘No sale, No Fee’ business broker, Turner Butler has seen an upsurge in on-line businesses successfully sold during 2015.

‘E-commerce as a sector has firmly established itself amongst the top ten sectors of businesses brought to market currently’ said Rupert Cattell, Managing Director of Turner Butler.

Interest in acquiring e-commerce style businesses is equally prevalent, significantly shortening the period of time it takes to achieve a sale, particularly for companies that have a proven track record of many years of successful trading.

Two recent examples are UK Wristband Limited sold by Turner Butler earlier this year and The Footy Shop – a market leader in on-line retailing of football sportswear, both of which sold to private investors easily within the time constraints set out by their original owners, with the latter completed within an astonishing 20 weeks from Turner Butler’s appointment.

Rupert Cattell, who handled both sales added: ‘There was substantial interest in both of these businesses from buyers from the UK as well as overseas. The sales demonstrate that where businesses are competitively priced, such as UK Wristband and The Footy Shop, they will attract high levels of interest. In the past few months, we have successfully completed on the sales of several other e-commerce businesses, with more deals in the pipeline due to complete shortly.”

PLT Services completes latest acquisition amongst Turner Butler cleaning company Clients.

Leading ‘No sale, no fee’ business broker, Turner Butler, has announced the sale of Mitcham based Direct Cleaners Limited to PLT Services, a company specialising in office and floor cleaning, with a particular presence in the commercial and industrial sectors. With a large domestic customer base and a number of high profile hotel Clients, the acquisition of Direct by PLT, significantly expands its customer base and takes it into new markets.

PLT’s acquisition is just the latest secured by Turner Butler in the cleaning sector. ‘As well as general cleaning – commercial, industrial and domestic, we regularly achieve sales of specialist cleaning companies’ commented Tony Bell, Regional Manager, Turner Butler.

One such example was Techclean Services (Wessex) Limited, a Dorset based data centre and IT equipment cleaning company.

‘Cleaning companies can represent attractive acquisition opportunities to a wide range of target audiences – private individuals through to large cleaning conglomerates. The most successful acquisitions and where best value is realised from sale are those with a good deal of synergy between both parties’ added Tony Bell.

The sale of Direct was the third cleaning company sold by Turner Butler in a very short period of time, reflecting an increasingly active M & A market in the cleaning sector.
